I honestly can't decide which I like better. Usually, I think that if a picture can get by with no to minimal editing, that is better. I have never wanted to be one of those fake photographers who edits to the utmost degree every single picture that he or she may take. That being said, it was SO much fun to go crazy on this one! I cross processed it which seemingly brought the crepuscular rays to life. They shower the couple in warm, almost hallucinatory light, which is indubitably my favorite aspect of this picture. I also like the effect that it had on the smokey blue, late summer sky. Via the comment option, would you please vote on which you like better?
Thanks!
Love you all,
Mary-Hannah

P.S. Sorry about the UGLY date in the bottom right hand corner of the pictures. I think I have gotten it off of my camera now, but on these, you'll just have to try and ignore it. :-P

My Kid Brother (A.K.A The Greatest Little Guy in the World)

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to Jesse Joseph Dean McGuffey, my beloved younger brother. Every summer we take pictures of him to send to his biological mother on his birthday. I got somewhat carried away on our little photo shoot in the garden and at the park, and took 116 pictures. (FYI, that is a lot!) . Cannon has yet to recover. In all actuality I am prone to take tons of pictures and use only a fraction of them. It gives me more of a margin to choose from so that I end up with better quality photos. Anyway, here are the latest pictures of the infamous Jesse. I hope you like them!

A Past Due Blog Post

Hello all, this is your disappearing blogger returned from the realm of non-bloggedness. I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything in so long, but here I am, after an extended um... vacation time, (That sounds good, right?) returned and ready to blog with a vengeance.

Photography has been going well, although Canon III could have worked just a little harder this summer. I wish his parents had instilled in him a better work ethic. He prefers to simply appreciate the beauty of things rather than take pictures of them. He claims that the click of a camera ruins the moment. I personally think he is lazy and dramatic, but please don't tell him that I said that. I would hate to injure his tender little feelings. Ah well, I suppose that even the best of cameras have their flaws. Here are some of his latest works.

Well, I hope you folks like Canon's photos. I'm sure that he would like some feedback. :-) Have a great day!
